I hope you had a wonderful day! Strangely enough I had to re-upload this pic into my Photobucket account. I made it the other day and had uploaded it into the appropriate folder, but today it was gone. And I also noticed that my storage space went down from 69% used to 50%. Umm....? I doubt this pic above violates their TOS. I have made quite a few others like this one, and they're still there. Maybe it was some technical glitch? I wonder what other pics are missing from my PB... *sigh*

Anyway, that pic from Colin Ford's Twitter inspired me to make some new art today. I actually made it with GIMP and got some ideas from a tutorial or two I found. I've got a banner and a wallpaper (2 sizes). If you like please take. Credit not totally necessary but always appreciated.

Who would have thought this boy was 27 years old? I've seen him grow up on Gilmore Girls and then on Supernatural (and then in his most recent movies). Yes, the older he gets, the better he gets, but he still manages to capture us with those sweet Puppy Eyes and that gorgeous smile. I've had the pleasure of meeting him twice, and all that's been said about him by other fans and in various articles is totally true: he's a big, goofy, energetic, sweetheart. He has more than earned the "puppy" nickname. He's so accommodating to the fans and goes out of his way to make you feel comfortable. Jared, you're a big sweetie. Never ever change. And hopefully I'll get the opportunity to see you again soon; at least before SPN ends.

Today was a blah day. My dog hasn't been herself much and has been pretty much incontinent the past couple of days. Took her to the vet for some tests.  Could have urinary tract infection but we'll know more soon hopefully.  I guess the weather could be part of it (she has been dragging a little... it's humid again).

Went to Best Buy last night and talked to a salesperson.  For an SLR camera he recommended the not-yet-released Canon EOS Digital Rebel XS. Supposed to be a lighter weight entry level SLR but with pretty much the same features as the XSi.  Live View and all that fancy stuff.  Not sure when it'll be released but the salesguy believes within the next month or two.  As long as I have plenty of time to practice before the con in November.

So I finally have some more Stargate artwork. The Sam/Daniel-thon has inspired me again.  So let's see what we have here...

And now for the last wallpaper... I put it under its own cut because I fear repercussions from it.... *grin* It can be taken as either Jack/Daniel or Sam/Daniel, depending on how you see it. And a big, huge, honkin' warning: If you are a diehard S/J shipper, or a S/J shipper with no sense of humor, I'd advise against clicking on it. Most of the S/J shippers I've met in LJ have been very nice, but I'd just like to be better safe than sorry.

So, I've finally branched out into Supernatural artwork. Finally. And here's what I have to show for it: 1 wallpaper and 6 icons. So, after finding a cool tutorial by mercscilla (here), I went icon crazy again. Most are Sam/Daniel, but there are also a few lone Sam and lone Daniel ones, as well as a Jack/Daniel (friendship) one. Snurch as many as you'd like. Credit not necessary but appreciated.

I have a few new wallpapers in this ongoing series I've been doing to share. Also have been going nuts making icons this evening.

The walls are S/D friendship and cover Thor's Hammer to Bloodlines. I'll be doing the next few soon. As for the icons, I just made a whole slew of Daniel ones. Several S/D ones in this batch as well. Again please feel free to snurch - credit not necessary but appreciated.

Want to wish all my fellow friends in the US a Happy Independence Day. Probably won't be online much.

Besides fic, I've been burying myself in Photoshop/PSP the past week or so. I've been making wallpapers based on the episodes, starting with S1. So far, I have Children of the Gods to Brief Candle done. Some are really crummy, others I kind of like. I've been messing around with textures and layer properties for the most part.

I've also been making icons here and there. Most of this recent batch is from the last day on the set (Unending). No spoilers or anything.

Feel free to snurch any of these. Credit not necessary but always welcome. All of these are, for the most part (except for one icon - I'm sure you'll know which one, LOL), S/D friendship.

Now I am hearing from people who were at the con that MS pretty much dissed every pairing, and I guess these people would know better than I would since they were there, but I still got the impression that he liked Daniel/Vala. Anyone reading this who was there and wants to correct me, please do.

So since I'm still under that impression, I'm posting this wallpaper. And I still don't like the way he said "Ew." Someone said to me "you don't see the Jack/Daniel fans crying their eyes out because he disses their ship." Uh huh, well from all I've seen, he didn't diss it seriously. He would tease about it. The impression I got from this past weekend was that he wasn't teasing about S/D and was expressing outright disgust. That is different.

On the up side, one or two D/V shippers were nice to me and actually respected my pairing, so I give them props for that. Even if I don't support certain pairings, I respect the people who do and I appreciate other people who do the same for me.

If he was saying that he didn't like ANY Daniel pairings, then I'm okay with that. I just don't want to see him favoring one pairing above the other - and yes I know he is entitled to his opinions but I think it pits different shippers against each other and that isn't a good thing.

I feel bad about this because I don't want to hate him or lose respect for him. I just hope that I took what he said out of context or it wasn't as bad as it first sounded to me. It would be nice to know if he is noromo and wants to have the fans interpret things as they wish. But I'm still not sure that's the case...

And now I'm rambling and probably annoying you all so I'll shut up now. I'm still feeling the effects from my lousy weekend. Hopefully with my shortened work week and Thanksgiving coming up I'll feel better.
