Now I am hearing from people who were at the con that MS pretty much dissed every pairing, and I guess these people would know better than I would since they were there, but I still got the impression that he liked Daniel/Vala. Anyone reading this who was there and wants to correct me, please do.

So since I'm still under that impression, I'm posting this wallpaper. And I still don't like the way he said "Ew." Someone said to me "you don't see the Jack/Daniel fans crying their eyes out because he disses their ship." Uh huh, well from all I've seen, he didn't diss it seriously. He would tease about it. The impression I got from this past weekend was that he wasn't teasing about S/D and was expressing outright disgust. That is different.

On the up side, one or two D/V shippers were nice to me and actually respected my pairing, so I give them props for that. Even if I don't support certain pairings, I respect the people who do and I appreciate other people who do the same for me.

If he was saying that he didn't like ANY Daniel pairings, then I'm okay with that. I just don't want to see him favoring one pairing above the other - and yes I know he is entitled to his opinions but I think it pits different shippers against each other and that isn't a good thing.

I feel bad about this because I don't want to hate him or lose respect for him. I just hope that I took what he said out of context or it wasn't as bad as it first sounded to me. It would be nice to know if he is noromo and wants to have the fans interpret things as they wish. But I'm still not sure that's the case...

And now I'm rambling and probably annoying you all so I'll shut up now. I'm still feeling the effects from my lousy weekend. Hopefully with my shortened work week and Thanksgiving coming up I'll feel better.

It's Saturday and I should be happy for the very sake of it being Saturday and thus the weekend, but I am not.

First of all, I heard from chris4short today that she got my Daniel drawing signed by MS... *hugs Chris* No, I am not not unhappy about that - in fact it's the next best thing to being there. What I am unhappy about is here ...

Another reason I'm not so happy is because I was supposed to hear from this guy today to meet him for coffee but he hasn't called, so I guess he is not interested in me. He'll probably never call me again. I guess I don't mind - I'll never meet a guy to fall in love with, so I don't know why I get my hopes up...

Well, guess I'll go read or watch TV or something now... anything to get my mind off this stuff... being depressed sucks.

Wow, well not from any of those places, but pretty much smack dab in between all of them! Heh, yeah I talk like the TAPS guys and gals on GH (okay so maybe I don't go "dooood, run" all the time but yeah...).

Anyhoo... con stuff... talked yesterday to Lori and we're both debating whether we could also stay into Sunday. Someone from the con thread at GW said she (think it's a she) had 3 roommates who backed out on her so now it's going to cost her more for the hotel. Lori said maybe we could stay...that way we'd get to see Joe on Sunday. Not really sure if we can though... found out this morning that this person has another roommate again, so we have to talk more about it.

Really looking forward to this! Still annoyed that Michael won't be there but still going to have fun! We at the con thread are thinking of taking a pic of all of us in front of a con poster and having a sign for Michael that sorry he couldn't make it. LOL...would be fun to do!

Found out last night that Michael Shanks cancelled his con appearance because he will be filming overseas! Argh - why does everyone seem to cancel out on the NY area cons?! First it was Joe Flanigan and now Michael! One of my friends on Gateworld is so unhappy - she's driving down from Boston with her mom to go and since she'll be going to college in Florida, it's the last time she'll see Michael at a con. I feel so bad for her and I'm pretty sure it'll be the last time I'll ever see him too.

Maybe I am being selfish and I wish him luck on the new project but still - this had to happen at OUR con?! Teryl Rothery will be appearing instead and some other "mystery" guest (can't wait to find out - hope it's someone from Atlantis!). Since I have a Preferred ticket I'll be getting a complimentary autograph from Teryl so that will be cool. I didn't get much of a chance to meet her at the last con I went to. But still really teed off about Michael cancelling. We in NY seem to have the worst luck as far as cons go. *depressed sigh*

I have this splitting headache now and doubt the day can get much better from here. Not much else to say so signing off now.

The Creation con is getting closer and I'm getting excited. :) Got an email from Creation a little while ago that they're going to have an exclusive new Michael Shanks t-shirt for sale there, which you can only get at this con. Hmmm wonder what it's going to be like?

I got the new Cult Times Special issue #41 in the mail today. It has MS and AT on the cover as well as a couple of interviews with the two of them. MS talks about this season so far, how it was nice that Daniel went to Atlantis, how they go on a "Monty Pythonesque journey" in another ep, and he also said something that has me wondering... here is the quote:

"There's also a little bit of tension or some weird kind of love tension that develops between Daniel and Adria, which puts an interesting spin on his relationship with Vala."

Okay, I hope we're not going to see lots of jealousy from Vala, and if we do I hope we won't have Daniel going... "Awww honey, no I love you too, even if your daughter seems to have the hots for me." Ugh... if that happens, major fic fix-it will be in the works. I hope that by "relationship" he doesn't mean something like serious relationship - I hope it's just relationship in general. Other than that, the interview was pretty good.

As for AT's interview, I have to say I feel so sorry for her. Here is a quote from her:

"It is a different show, there's no denying this is not the SG-1 that we started with. A lot of things have changed, even just by virtue of the fact that we have a five-member team, that's a different format for us and it changes the dynamic of the team. I go online every once and again and I'll read something rather disparaging about myself and it's usually something catty and kinda nasty and I get my feelings hurt, honest to God. On many occasions my husband has come into the office and seen me sitting at the computer crying, going, 'You're not reading online again, are you?' And usually 90% of the stuff is really great and 10% of the stuff is not so nice. And I, of course, focus on the 10 per cent that's not nice!"

I bet I know which people make up the majority of those saying nasty things about her. I know that you have to sometimes expect things like this in showbiz, but I still think it's ridiculous. I've seen the things people have said about her and it does get really nasty.
