While I'm *still* trying to put together my next Puppy picspam, I wanted to offer this in the meantime. I screencapped Friday the 13th the other night and wanted to make a little picspam. So I finally got the opportunity to see this movie tonight.  Wish it was in a better atmosphere (I'll get to that *sigh*), but I enjoyed the movie.  Here are some of my thoughts ...

Now, getting to what I was talking about in wishing for a better atmosphere...  We were surrounded by people in the theater who would just NOT.SHUT.UP.  I could understand talking during the stupid ads or even some of the coming attractions, but, um, some people like to watch a movie with actual SILENCE. Or at least relative silence.  There was this young couple sitting behind us and they kept commenting pretty loudly throughout most of the movie.  Then there were 3 young men in front of us who, while they didn't talk too much throughout the whole thing, were still pretty loud whenever they did.  Then to our right slightly behind us was another couple who had to talk, and it turned out the woman was talking on her cell phone.  At one point my mom turned and gave them the evil eye, and asked if they could please be quiet.  That shut them up finally for most of the movie.  THEN there was a woman with her son to our left who started talking on her cell phone.  And loudly.  I hear her saying "OK, OK........ YEAH, OK."  I think her son said something to her, and the two of them got up and left the theater. But we were still stuck with that couple behind us who had to comment out loud on EVERY line and EVERY move of virtually EVERY character in the movie.

*headesk*

Are people just getting ruder and ruder at theaters nowadays? Maybe I should learn to be more tolerant, but I don't think it's too much to ask to have some quiet during a movie so you can hear what the characters on screen are saying.  I'm all for talking during a movie when you're watching it in the privacy of your own home, especially if it's a movie you've seen before. But not when you're in a theater with other people seeing it for the first time. 

Okay, rant over now. I promise. ;)  It was good seeing the movie, though.  I'd go see it again if I could.

I also have an icon question related to this movie.  I've seen people using this icon over at dean_sam and I have a question... I don't think there's any spoilers here, but I'll stick it behind a cut just in case...

Finally home from this con, have finally edited and uploaded my pics, and I am EXHAUSTED!! Comic Con was really crazy.  So many people there and IMHO things weren't organized too well.  We sadly didn't make it to the Friday the 13th screening :(  But in all honesty I was at the point where I just wanted to collapse.  I knew I wouldn't make it there. *sigh* Oh, well.  Here is my report and pics ...

I just have one other SG-related question... Have people already seen Continuum?? I keep seeing some of my flisters saying it's great etc. Where are y'all seeing it?! You're killing me here!  The only thing I've seen is the little video thingie (which is more like an interview/sneak preview thing) on the MGM website.  Suppose I should log on to Gateworld and I'll find more info there? I've stayed away from that site for too long... even though I no longer visit the Pond I'm missing the S/D thread and a few others (some of which aren't even Stargate related).

But geez, all you people teasing me with this... "it's great!" "I love it!" etc. etc. Gawd!!! *tsk*

Bleh... still feeling crappy but I did take notes last night as I was watching (as odd as that sounds, lol - hey I was afraid I wouldn't remember everything).  So FWIW, here's my little review thingy.

Okay, so I was hanging out on Gateworld and apparently some people have seen Ark of Truth already. 

They've posted some comments about it that sadly make it even more unlikely that I'll purchase it.


So has anyone else seen this thing yet?  Anything you can tell me about it, preferably the team interaction and Sam/Daniel (as well as Sam/Daniel/Teal'c) interaction? Inquiring minds are begging to know. ;)

So I didn't watch Unending on Friday, except for the last minute or so (have to say I loved the little tribute SciFi had during the end credits though). I saw it in March and tried to put it out of my mind, but everyone is buzzing about it again, pictures are showing up again, and it's bumming me out again.

Maybe there is something wrong with me but I find it hard to believe sometimes when people keep insisting they're still friends.  Can you actually prove that? Can you take an episode from season 10 and say "See? Daniel still cares about Sam (and/or Teal'c)" ? I know people tell me that they've been friends over the course of 10 years, built up this foundation and it's hard to believe it's just gone.  But who's to say that it isn't? How do you know something didn't happen between them to cause them to stop caring about one another?  I just hate the way TPTB have made things seem this way.

I also read an interview MS gave on Gateworld.net and he mentions one of the two DVD movies.


Anyway I'm sorry for being so negative... just all the hoopla over Unending and Daniel/Vala in general is depressing me a little.  Nowadays it seems like you have to ship D/V in order to be a fan of Daniel... so I guess I can't be a fan of his anymore unless I support that ship. :( 

*off to catch up to reading fanfic to cheer myself up... hopefully*
