Musings on a Saturday

Yay, I may be a victim of identity theft.  I just got a letter in the mail from my old university's health science center that, somehow, files including my personal information (which I'm assuming was in their archives) including name, social security # and university ID #, was made visible on the health science center's website.  They said there hasn't been any evidence of misuse yet, but recommended that I call a credit reporting agency to put a fraud alert on my credit report.  Just more BS for me to go through.

Oh, and I got a jury duty questionnaire in the mail the other day, too.  Aren't I lucky.  Because I haven't been called in quite a few years, I suspect they'll get me again and in time for my vacation in August as well.

Well, enough personal garbage.  On to my musings...

I didn't watch SG-1 last night.  I'd seen the ep already and wasn't crazy about it.  My mom watched it and I just came in on a few scenes.  She felt the same way.  I'm glad there's one other person who does.  Here I've thought there was something wrong with me for not being enthralled by the recent episodes.  Eh, maybe there's something wrong with both of us. *shrugs*

After reading Michael Shanks' blog and various comments/opinions on what he wrote, it has me wondering something.  Why doesn't he ever mention Ben Browder or Amanda Tapping in his entries or in interviews?  I totally understand why he mentions Chris Judge (the two are best friends and are working on a tv project among other things) and Claudia Black.  But I have started wondering if there has been some bad blood (or at best, a tenuous relationship) between him and Ben, and him and Amanda.

I haven't read too many of Ben's recent interviews, but I have read Amanda's and she has mentioned Michael in them (she talked a bit about her, Chris and Michael spending a moment alone together looking out at the Stargate after they finished filming the last episode).  Why hasn't Michael mentioned her at all?  I am curious about what his blog entry regarding Unending will be like, if he'll mention what it was like for him, AT and CJ after filming that episode, after they'd been doing this together for so many years.  If he doesn't and it's all about CB, then I can't help but assume that something happened between him and Amanda.

Before you go and flame me, let me say that I don't mean him any offense.  I know it's not my place to assume anything, because we don't really know much about what goes on between these people.  I've thought that interviews do give us a window to that - maybe it's just a small window, though, and we don't have much of an idea.

I don't know if I want to see MS at the NJ con in November now.  I have a feeling that anything he says regarding Stargate will be all about how he loves Vala and working with CB and nothing about anyone else.  I will be sick and tired of it.  I was planning on bringing a photo of Daniel and Sam for him to autograph, and wear my "Authenic Daniel/Sam Rebel" shirt again, but he'd probably have something mean to say about it like I'm crazy or "ewww" or anything like that.  Maybe I'm nuts for suggesting that and I'd hope he wouldn't do that, but I really don't know if he would.  From what I heard from a friend at another con, he wasn't even crazy about the idea of Daniel and Sam being friends, so I can imagine how he'd react to my photo or shirt.  I hope I'm wrong though.

And now I really need to shut up before you all think I'm insane.

Happy Weekend, for what it's worth.
