Well, I did it...

I managed to get 5 hours of sleep last night instead of only 3 like the night before.  Took painkillers, went to bed at 10:30pm.  Woke up 3:30am with sharp pain in the arm again, that radiated all the way down to my wrist and was even burning a little.  It was so awful it actually made me cry.  I tried an ice pack, which did nothing at first until I shifted positions and slept on my stomach.  Dozed off for a little while until 7am when I had to get up for work.  Normally I wouldn't be going to work, but I still need that element of my old routine.  It's still part-time anyway.  Plus the orthopedic surgeon's office is not far from where I work.  He said yesterday when I spoke to him to call him today and he will try to see me (can't get a hold of him yet, but hopefully soon).  If he can suggest anything at all, I will be happy - provided he doesn't try to bend and twist the arm again.

I guess the thing that bothers me the most about this is that I was doing so well before I saw him.  Now it's as if my progress has been erased and I'm right back to where I was not long after I left the hospital and before I started physical therapy.  It's so hard to use my right arm, I'm even doing all my typing with my left hand.  I'm just hoping that someone can give me some help...take the edge off the pain at least so I can sleep...
