SPN ep(#6x17 My Heart Will Go On) and stuff...
The show we saw last night (Cinematic Titanic) was awesome. They did a bit of stand-up stuff beforehand and then the main event with the movie. Wow, it was horrible. It was a cheesy movie called "Rattlers" from 1976 about snakes in the desert. So many weird random happenings in the movie, and their jokes made it even better. A couple of times I thought I was going to lose it I was laughing so hard, LOL. Didn't stay for autographs as the line was pretty long, but I managed to get take a couple of pics from the side. Haven't checked to see how they came out yet.

Anyway... my recorder behaved and taped the SPN ep last night, so I watched it a little while ago. I'm not going to have a big formal review and not going to cross-post, but I just have a few random observations.....

I liked it. I didn't find it to be my all-time favorite or anything, but it was interesting and quite good. :)

Probably an unpopular opinion, but I'm siding with Balty on the movie. I didn't completely hate it, but when it first came out I couldn't understand what all the hype was about. I was never a big fan of DiCaprio, I guess. And I absolutely HATE the Celine Dion song, it's like nails on a chalk board to me (then again I've never been much of a fan of her either... hmmm, there's a trend here, isn't there... LOL).

Anyway, interesting to see how things would be different if the Titanic hadn't sunk. The boys are not driving the Impala and they actually have their old KAZ 2Y5 license plate. :D Ellen and Jo are alive and Ellen is married to Bobby. I liked their interaction, they're both pretty curmudgeonly. ;) When the boys learn about how things would really be different, and that Jo and Ellen had died and they tell Bobby, it was almost sad to see his reaction (and then his reaction talking to Ellen later) and insistence that they do not sink the Titanic.

The boys were pretty cute in this episode. I thought Dean was pretty damned funny talking to the lawyer guy. And then when Sam spotted Fate (and how gorgeous did he look in that scene??? God, his hair was so pretty and almost season-3-ish, I was drooling like crazy) and told Dean she looked like a librarian. Dean: "Your type of librarian or mine?" Sam says she was wearing clothes. Hee. Also the scene where they're trying to avoid the juggling knives/flaming torches, the dogs, and etc. was cute... with Blondie's "One Way Or Another" playing in the background. Sam's reaction when they first see the jugglers is adorable, with the raised eyebrows and the "oh crap" expression.

Glad to see Cas come to their rescue not once but twice. And interesting that it's not only Balty causing trouble by doing this, but that he's working for Cas and Cas is letting it happen... because he wants more souls in this battle of his? Don't know what to think of that...  I kind of agree with the idea though that it's better for these people to never have been born than to suffer these horrible deaths.

Was going "AWWWWWWWWW" big time at the end when Bobby was asleep on the couch and Dean covered him up. :D Love seeing the boys all concerned about Uncle Bobby.

Obviously I can't wait to see next week's ep! And I should be home for that one, thank God. LOL

I really enjoyed this episode. I loved the scene where they were trying to avoid fate, hysterical!! Sammy was adorable running through the fire jugglers, and he did look gorgeous in that scene where he spotted fate. *dies* His hair was SO luscious and beautiful. <33

Next week's episode looks really good too. Just seeing Jared in a cowboy hat, sitting on a horse will probably send me squeeing all over the place! :D

It was a pretty awesome ep, wasn't it? :) I loved that scene too, and scared Sammy was adorable! I wanted to touch his hair so badly there. *happy sigh*

I'm really looking forward to next week's! I'm going to have to have lots of pillows on the floor in case I end up falling over from the hotness ;D

I have to admit, I'm one of the rare few people who've never actually watched Titanic, no matter how many chances I've been given to do so. The most I think I've seen of it, is about five minutes or so*g*

lol! I refused to see it when it was first released, and I finally caught it on tv one night over a year later. I was on an overnight field trip in school, and was just bored in the motel room that night.

OMG I thought the same thing when I was watching the Sam see's fate scene. =3

Loved Sam's face when he run though the jugglers. XD

Cas was awesome saving the boy's twice and I have to agree with Balty on Titanic. Just wonder what's the deal with the soul's.

Agree the ending was so sweet, can't wait till next week.

I was a little lost at first--wondering why they were in that car--and the whole Ellen thing---but then when Dean asked Sam about the Titanic and he said that he'd never heard of it....the lightbulb in my head finally went off. Dim witted on my part!

Loved the brothers working together and getting along! Sam's face was hysterical when they walked quickly past the flame/fire juggler. Dean turning himself against Sam when the dogs came up to him was funny too!

Poor Bobby! Nice touch to have Dean cover him up. Very sweet!

Sam's hair was in tip top shape tonight! The hair dept. girls did a good job in this episode. Maybe they heard our complaints? Hee.

Glad that you enjoyed your show last night!

I watched again today and enjoyed it better the second time around, noticing little things knowing it was AU that I missed the first time.

Wasn't my fav episode, but was just so happy to see the boys in a new ep, it could have been flat-out stupid and I wouldn't have cared. Just so much love for them.

I did get all teary for poor Bobby realizing Ellen wouldn't be there and that last shot of the photo without her in it. Waaa, my heart.

I wasn't sure if I liked that ep or not because of the way I knew it had to go. But fate was an interesting choice of "bad guy".

Dean and Sam tempting fate with “one way or another” playing was hilarious and Dean’s face when they passed the dogs were great.:D

The ending was really sweet. I love when they all take care of each other.

YAY! I am not the only one!! :D
lol
Yes, I hated that movie and I never saw any of those other movies either. I never liked the songs either, they're not my kind of thing!

I agree with basically everything you said. :)
I guess that was the theme of the episode, that you shouldn't try to avoid Fate.

Me too! His faces were wonderful!

lol no worries hon, my reply was long too ;) And again I am SO GLAD that someone else feels the same as I do about that movie (and the songs!)!
