SPN ep(#6x17 My Heart Will Go On) and stuff...

The show we saw last night (Cinematic Titanic) was awesome. They did a bit of stand-up stuff beforehand and then the main event with the movie. Wow, it was horrible. It was a cheesy movie called "Rattlers" from 1976 about snakes in the desert. So many weird random happenings in the movie, and their jokes made it even better. A couple of times I thought I was going to lose it I was laughing so hard, LOL. Didn't stay for autographs as the line was pretty long, but I managed to get take a couple of pics from the side. Haven't checked to see how they came out yet.

Anyway... my recorder behaved and taped the SPN ep last night, so I watched it a little while ago. I'm not going to have a big formal review and not going to cross-post, but I just have a few random observations.....

I liked it. I didn't find it to be my all-time favorite or anything, but it was interesting and quite good. :)

Probably an unpopular opinion, but I'm siding with Balty on the movie. I didn't completely hate it, but when it first came out I couldn't understand what all the hype was about. I was never a big fan of DiCaprio, I guess. And I absolutely HATE the Celine Dion song, it's like nails on a chalk board to me (then again I've never been much of a fan of her either... hmmm, there's a trend here, isn't there... LOL).

Anyway, interesting to see how things would be different if the Titanic hadn't sunk. The boys are not driving the Impala and they actually have their old KAZ 2Y5 license plate. :D Ellen and Jo are alive and Ellen is married to Bobby. I liked their interaction, they're both pretty curmudgeonly. ;) When the boys learn about how things would really be different, and that Jo and Ellen had died and they tell Bobby, it was almost sad to see his reaction (and then his reaction talking to Ellen later) and insistence that they do not sink the Titanic.

The boys were pretty cute in this episode. I thought Dean was pretty damned funny talking to the lawyer guy. And then when Sam spotted Fate (and how gorgeous did he look in that scene??? God, his hair was so pretty and almost season-3-ish, I was drooling like crazy) and told Dean she looked like a librarian. Dean: "Your type of librarian or mine?" Sam says she was wearing clothes. Hee. Also the scene where they're trying to avoid the juggling knives/flaming torches, the dogs, and etc. was cute... with Blondie's "One Way Or Another" playing in the background. Sam's reaction when they first see the jugglers is adorable, with the raised eyebrows and the "oh crap" expression.

Glad to see Cas come to their rescue not once but twice. And interesting that it's not only Balty causing trouble by doing this, but that he's working for Cas and Cas is letting it happen... because he wants more souls in this battle of his? Don't know what to think of that...  I kind of agree with the idea though that it's better for these people to never have been born than to suffer these horrible deaths.

Was going "AWWWWWWWWW" big time at the end when Bobby was asleep on the couch and Dean covered him up. :D Love seeing the boys all concerned about Uncle Bobby.

Obviously I can't wait to see next week's ep! And I should be home for that one, thank God. LOL
