More updates
Got the results from my blood work although getting them was like pulling teeth at first (receptionists were not good about returning calls, then the first one I spoke to wanted to rush me off the phone...*grumbles*). They said my thyroid looks perfect. They just want to do one more test, this time for cortisol. I have to go to a lab and it can only been done between 7 and 10am. I'm going tomorrow at 9. The doctor told me this will give them a better picture of what the adrenaline is doing. I hope it does. I seem to have more problems with anxiety in the mornings than any other time. He told me that our bodies produce adrenaline in the early morning hours because it gets us all ready for the day, but I could be producing too much adrenaline, which gives me the anxiety. I hope this test will tell us something. But I'm relieved that my thyroid is ok - one less thing to worry about I suppose.

No stomach upset today although I had a pretty big adrenaline rush type feeling when I woke up this morning. Like I said hopefully we'll get some answers as to why this is happening. That will make me feel a lot better - knowledge is power.

Then in the afternoon I have to get that heart monitor to wear for 24 hours. That should be interesting.

Before i go to the nevrologist and then to the other doctor, i did the same tests as you and everything was fine, so i suspect that you will also be alright so the thing that remains is your anxiety which is the source of every pain in your body.

I am starting to suspect that it may turn out that way for me too. I had the one test this morning and have the heart monitor now. Whatever happens I hope they can find something that will help.

I'm so glad your thyroid test came back with no signs of a problem, that's good news. :)

I hope the adrenaline test goes smoothly for you, and the doctor can tell you something definitive from it. I'll keep you in my prayers, hon. *BIG HUGS*

Aw thanks, Kristin. :) I'm relieved about it, too.

I should know the results of that test by Monday or Tuesday. I've got the heart monitor now and I have to return it tomorrow. As long as I can get some answers and they can find something to help, I'll be so happy. Again I cannot thank you enough for all your support, hon. You're amazing. *BIG HUGS*

I hope that the doctors can find something that will be of help to you, hun.

And don't worry about the heart monitor. I had a lot of tests done on me before I was diagnosed with ME (including adrenaline and thyroid), and the 24 hr ECG was one of them. It's a funny thing having it strapped to you, but not uncomfortable. Lol though I had this quite big one with wires hanging down that I kept on trying to tuck in but they'd fall down again - so my family kept on joking I looked like I had a bomb attached to me!

Also, have you tried ginger pills or peppermint capsules for your stomach upsets? Nausea is one of my symptoms, and after trying loads of different things to help it, I found ginger and peppermint most helpful.

Thanks hon *hugs* I hope so too.

I've got it now and it's almost just like you described. Although it's fairly small (it's clipped onto my belt), still has wires hanging down and I'm trying to figure out how to tuck my shirt into my jeans without them getting caught lol

I used to chew on ginger candy or crystallized ginger to help with things like nausea and it was always pretty helpful. I'm still exploring my new surroundings but I think there is a health store nearby so I'm going to check and see if they have anything like that. I've also looked up natural remedies for anxiety and found loads of them... going to look into that as well.

Cool, that's very good news about your thyroid and no nausea this morning.

You haven't been drinking more caffeine than usual lately or anything, have you? But that wouldn't explain that adrenaline rush upon waking up, unless you have a giant gong in your bedroom for an alarm clock. ;)

I really hope your heart monitoring goes well. I'm worried about you as it is. I'm praying you haven't developed a heart condition.

Take care, and good luck!

*HUGS*

Yep, I'm really relieved about that.

Ever since this whole thing I've laid off the caffeine. I haven't even had any tea to drink (and I used to love a good cup of tea in the mornings). Something has to be off with the adrenaline somehow - I never used to wake up between 1-2am and not get back to sleep (unless I was stressing over some big event like a job interview or something).

Thanks, me too. I should get the results of the cortisol test by Monday or Tuesday. I guess I'll get the results from the heart monitoring not long after. Really keeping my fingers crossed that we get to the bottom of this so I can work to get better.

Thanks for all your support, hon!
