That said, I hope this makes some kind of sense...I'm kind of doped up on allergy meds at the moment :P
This season premiere was...interesting? I think I need a little more time to digest this, maybe even another viewing. We'll see how it goes.
I'm not sure how I feel about Mary being back. This could end up being done well, or it could end up crappy. I think it's a little too early to tell. I think Jensen portrayed Dean's emotions upon first being reunited with Mom well...you could see the emotion as well as the disbelief. Sam Smith has done a pretty good job too, although I think I might have expected Mary's confusion with new technology to be a little greater (hey, it's been 33 years...), although maybe it's playing off as numbness and trying to make sense of the whole situation of being back after so many years?
Of course I love that Dean immediately calls out for Sammy & asks Cas where he is after they're back in the bunker. ;) And then Mary's fondness for Baby, though I admit I wasn't quite expecting that very much (unless John's fondness had rubbed off on her...).
Which brings me to Sam. I knew Toni couldn't have killed him in the finale. They'd want him alive to get info from him and that's exactly what they're doing. Jared did a great job...loved how Sam was all "screw you" with them. Though I'm conflicted...loved seeing Wet!Sam (and to add to The Shallow, I am loving his hair so far *g*) but Tortured!Sam, especially in burning his feet...gah, I felt so bad for him. :( I'm sure there will be a lot of Hurt!Sam fanfic coming from this ;) That Toni and her accomplice are such bitches. What did they inject him with? Whatever it was, it gave him all these visions showing Jess burning, Kevin having been killed, beating Dean up as Samifer, and then Dean's voice saying it's his fault and he should die. Hated that :( And when it looked like he was going to commit suicide by slicing his throat with the mirror shard? Gah... But he really had her going. Yeah, Sam! Poor baby, though. I hope they find him soon.
The two stupid demon guys, minions of Lucifer or whomever they were, I found to be quite annoying...especially the guy who said he'd had a 14 year old girl as a vessel. I almost felt like saying "Shut up, no one cares!" I was actually glad that Crowley finished them off, lol. Looks like he's still going to have to deal with Lucifer.
I guess that's about it. I'm still digesting this one, seems like a lot of stuff packed into it. Still not sure about Mary, I guess I'll see how that plays out. I hope they get Sam back soon, and I won't spoil for next week...all I'll say is I hope we don't hear Jesse's Girl. I can't stand that song, LOL
