Stargate Fan Awards...  
Congrats to all the winners.

I didn't win... meh.  Not that I'm surprised... I was shocked that I even got nominated, esp. since my stuff that got nominated was crap. :P Makes me wonder why people bothered....

Out of all the fics that won, only 3 or 4 were Sam/Daniel.  Most of the ship ones were Sam/Jack or Daniel/Vala.   And no Sam/Daniel music vids or art won any multimedia awards. 

We don't stand a chance anywhere, only in the Isis Awards. Which reminds me... were they even doing it this year? I never got any notices about it.  If not it's a shame because I've seen some great stuff that really deserves recognition.

i got it now. the link wouldn't work, but when i copy/pasted the address it worked.. sadly, i didn't win, though i didn't think i would anyway, haha

Don't feel too bad. A lot of great writers don't win those awards. They are so huge that I think a good chunk of fandom slips through the cracks :(

I'm not sure if the Isis Awards will be a go this year, but we've been talking about it and we've been trying to get the original creator involved again.

Yeah. She was awesome. She was very very fair, even toward the ships that she didn't like.

It's just a ton of work and a lot of headaches. So convincing someone to take that on again can be tough ;)

I totally understand though. One of my friends used to be active in the SG Fan Awards but decided to give it up.

Thanks!! *hugs back* Yep, of the fanfic I had nominated this year, one I didn't like that much, the other was a favorite of mine but I was running against authors that are much better than me. :P

I think I read that one. I know she had a mention in the Cam/Vala category but didn't win, maybe she made it in a different category?

I didn't win either. *is really disappointed too* I'm starting to feel like Susan Lucci, always nominated, never wins.

But hey, the nominations felt great though, didn't they? :) Girl, I always try to look on the bright side of things.
